Off to School

After a 4 page interview/application about Frannie & I detailing many things including: who feeds her, her 4 favorite things to do in order of preference and what her average day is like M-F & S&S! Along with a waiver saying I expect nothing from the teacher or my dog if I do not hold up my end...we have Frannie officially signed up for private school.

Just kidding... (got ya!) for her very first "professional" training class! It's focus is more fun than training but should learn a few things to help with the ongoing obedience too!
April 29th in the evening we will travel to Saco and begin "Backyard Agility" class!  Perhaps giving her a task/job to do and putting her natural athleticism to work while listening to my commands (huh? What?!) we will turn out a fun 6 weeks of "school" & a circus performer?!

The "school", Finish Forward Dogs, Inc. is in Saco and offers an impressive listing of courses and private lessons.  I don't think we'll take it to the "competitive agility" level but if all goes well there seem to be many classes on my list to try...we'll see if the boss (that'd be Frannie) agrees!

Anyone ever seen Frannie so still? This is the result of LOTS of running & dog park play...
I can dream Backyard Agility may have the same impact! (all day Tuesday!!)

  1. Can't wait to hear how it goes! I am planning on signing Rigby up for some obedience and leash training classes once I move. I don't think "agility" is really Rigby's thing. :)
